I would like to be able to get back on the little mare in April and have her be OK. And even better, I'd love to keep her in work for a while and have her stay sound.

Then I'm going to hope for lessons from the expert ...

And I want my mare to be able to ride in a trailer without coming unglued.

That's it, really.

Good luck for the lesson tomorrow Jilli. Are you still at the dressage barn or did you move back already?

My goals this year are to confirm our second level movements and continue working on quality of the work/collection. If we are really ready we may do a few competitions towards the end of the season.

I also want to run 6 successfull dressage shows this summer.

But most of the spotlight will be on JTM's baby horse Pacific Skye who will be doing the baby greens with Mr Trainer. We are counting out the days until the shows start as it will be fun to see him in the ring. He's such a good wee baby!

Yeah, little tiny, baby Skye! :teehee: He's like 16.3 right?? LUCK at the shows. How EXCITING!!!

I am still at the dressage barn. We'll start lunging tomorrow (bad weather expected) and see if she goes as well as she did the past few days. If not, we'll have a lunging lesson. I haven't been on her since...late summer???

My goals are with the Zunster this year. Get her into the breeding ring and out in public!! Right now she is a very very very hairy yakling. LOL. I think she will clean up ok though.

Update on progress!
So it's eight days into January and I've only ridden twice due to exams, holidays, extreme cold weater, etc. YET I've made tremendous progress with my horse-starts-baby-hunter goal :cheer:
Monday we trotted and cantered over a gymnastic line of poles on the ground, and a circle of poles.. in my dressage saddle. She was totally UP for the fun of polework.
Wednesday I fitted her to one of my jumper saddles but her hind legs were stocked (either we worked too hard on Mon, she banged herself outside, or she's been standing in place for two days in front of her new round bale) so I only rode for two minutes. Which was enough to do her first 'line', a trot in canter out over 6" caveletti. Her attitude was exactly where I wanted it, and she is definately ready to begin!!

My two major goals are: get my lead changes down (we're halfway there!) and be schooling at 3'0" by the end of the year

My goals are:
1. Sell Quest & Harvey by the end of February, and Jolie by the end of the spring
2. Breed Kyra in March/April, and George will show her in the A/A's, and me in the sidesaddle
3. Start Kali back showing in the spring at 3', and then move her up to the A/O's
4. Start out at the local shows this spring, and then do the Baby Greens with Zeda this summer/fall
5. Have Carson backed and started lightly for 30-60 days in the spring
6. If the 3 horses in #1 sell, pick up a new greenie to work on for the summer.

Woohoo we've moved up to a foot! :cheer:  :teehee:
Every time I go out, there is the most perfect exercise set up for us?!?! Today was a four element gymnastic of poles and cross rails. Good "pony"!!!!!!!

He is a cutie. He's really come along since I got him, and would be a fab driving horse.

I'll make you a good deal on him! ;)
