Now that I've run into Corey94 and JustDandy in a span of 2 hours at the barn I guess the cat is out of the bag. Duplo and I moved this weekend to Rolling Acres. So far, I LOVE it. Where do I begin? The fact that it is 5 miles from my house and my job...let's start there! The rings get watered and dragged all the time and my horse has a nice big comfy stall that he loves. I didn't leave the old barn for any real "reason" so I wasn't looking for Rolling Acres to make me super duper happy all of a sudden but the professionalism thus far is a welcome treat! I had a lesson with Patty this AM and it was great. Duplo will get back in a program starting this week, Laura will ride him some for me and I'll be in regular lessons which is great. Duplo settled right in and has really been ok, he's so relaxed about everything which is so nice! So. Thats the news.

LOL, no JLoh, they don't. BUT I won't have to buy my own feed and watch board increase either...He has loved his year on the TC Senior. They feed some sort of senior but I don't know what, I've still got most of a new bag for him to finish before we switch him over.

Yup, the cats out of the bag! I would never have put it together, until you mentioned your horses name! So great to meet another TOC'er. Duplo is a real trooper for only 24 hours at a new place; I'm sure you are proud of him.

Everybody that I've met at RAF have been really friendly, I'm sure you'll fit right in. I haul in to enjoy the trails as often as I can as they are hard to beat. This weekend, with the fab weather and a Sat and Sun visit, was a treat.

Now to assemble a trail ride for the ladies of TOC. Maybe once everyone is done w/ Harrisburg and Washington.....

Another cat's out of the bag - I just recently decided to start BACK with Rolling Acres. I rode with them for 10 years before moving to VA and for the first couple of years I lived in VA, but decided logistically it didn't work so I rode with a couple of trainers here in VA. I realized after hanging out with them at Culpeper last month that I really missed them. So...back I went. :) I can handle the 2 hour drive up and home every couple of weeks. Heck....I drive an hour and a half to AND from work. Why not do it for something fun!? :teehee:

I absolutely love Patty, Mary and Laura! They're the best!

Heinie - I caught the tail end of your lesson and Duplo is so adorable. You guys look great together. Are you going to C-peper next week? I'm planning on going down to watch and hang out Sat. and Sun.

Corey94 - DARNIT! I wish I would have known there was another TOCer at RAF today. It would have been nice to meet you. Maybe next time. :)

JD- I have a pull out couch with your name on it anytime you want...5 miles from the farm!!! Payment will be breakfast at Sunshine ;)

I'll be at Culpeper next weekend to see my old gang at FPF, my adopted VA gang at Woodhall and my new gang of RAF. I'll head down after a quick ride Saturday AM and maybe go back on Sunday but haven't decided yet how I'm doing it!

So far, I'm very proud of Duplo. He took a lesson and hacked out today in a new place like a champ. The best was yesterday evening: I had the ring to myself and he was so confused as to how we managed to get the WHOLE schooling ring to ourselves! Seriously, he is just the cutest, quietest little horse.

Patty wants Laura to start working with him this week and I'm A-ok with training rides so we'll get that all hooked up. Plus, with the location I know I can add at least Weds and Thurs to my riding schedule currently of Tues, Sat and Sun. WHOHOO!

Congrats, but SUNSHINE????!!!!!!!!

Bronson convinced me it was THE place to eat. The hamburger I ordered was great and it was neat to hear the staff yell for your order by looking at the mirror above the grill. Two hours later I felt as if I had eaten an entire herd of cattle between two sandwich buns.

To this day when I get to the intersection where Sunshine is, my gas pedal gets a full workout.

I like the angry apron wearing butcher at the local grocery across from the Grey Pony for lunch. They have the Berger cookies, too!
