I've been at barns that use Murphy's oil soap diluted in water for a daily wipe down of harnesses and bridles. It seemed to clean well and the leather seemed healthy. I was looking for directions on how to properly dilute it for that purpose, but have come across opinions that it should not be used. Is it safe or not? How do I use it properly to clean tack? |

It's all I've used for over 10 years, so obviously I love the stuff! I use it just like I would regular glycerin soap, with an extra wipe with a clean damp cloth at the end. My tack, boots, and chaps are all in beautiful shape.

Is there a solid form of the stuff or do you apply the liquid? I was planning on diluting it, but I'm not sure exactly how much. |

Those who use and clean their tack daily often complain that it's hard on the stitching (tends to rot it) but it does leave a great shine. My personal experience has been consistent with the the feedback, so I haven't used it on tack in years unless I'm in someone else's barn. |

I have used it but I have also used the bar of glycerin soap with a wet sponge to clean tack daily. |

Yuck. I used to use it, but there are much better products out there, IMHO. |
