For the past nine years, I have been in a situation where my horse was either four hours away from me by car or two and a half hours by plane. Obviously this has made practicing a bit difficult but was worth it due to the quality of care and training both myself and my horse received. For the past three of those years, I have ridden with Troy Hendricks and Ralph Caristo. Troy has been Ralph's trainer for the customers, has trained the horses and showed them either under Ralph's tuteluge to customers or by himself. Prior to working for Ralph, Troy was at the Barracks and at Sweetbriar College and was also Louise Serio's assistant trainer. Troy is the consumate perfectionist and professional. He is one of the few people in the horse world where no one has a bad word to say about him. This past weekend Troy started his own business called Kimber-View Stables which is located at Journey's End Farm in Glenmoore, PA. It is a beautiful facility with incredible turnout, two outdoor rings and a awesome indoor. It made sense for me to move with Troy due to me living only 20 minutes away. As much as I loved the people at Glenview, I could no longer justify the expense with riding once a month or practicing in the show ring. I am so excited now to be able to ride with Troy full-time. If anyone wants Troy's contact information, feel free to send me a PM. |

JM - It will be great. Even if I won't really be able to ride during the week, I will be able to go and feed my boy his favorite mints! BTW, I think we will be venturing into your zone on occasion. That should be fun as well. |

Agree with RHowell, Troy is wonderful. Daughter trained with him at the Barracks. Really nice guy. |

Clearound - Do you know if Troy plans to do Florida this winter, or of he'll be staying up north? I'm currently looking for a farm in that area, but would prefer someone who's not going to FL... Thanks, and congrats on the move! |

Troy will noy be going to FL this winter. If customers do want to go (such as myself) he will be making arrangements for them to go but it is not in the plans for this winter. |
