I would love to drive our mare Dora. She drives perfectly but I don't have a harness or cart.

Where do I start looking?

Is there anyone that offers driving lessons??

Hi La Gringa!

I have been meaning to respond to you, sorry I took so long.

Here is something you may like to see. http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff299/CDEDriver/Central%20Oregon%20Draft%20Horse%20Show/?action=view&current=6271770d.pbw

I'm sure Lost Farmer can help you better than I could, as I deal with light horses. You may want to try to post on COTH, there are some draft drivers there.

Where are you located? I most likely help you find someone to give you and Dora lessons.

Also try this website http://www.draftsforsale.com/ they have all sorts of used stuff for sale and services too. You can ask on the forum there too for someone in your area.

Look for a good local harness shop. I have never had good luck buying harness without trying it on and adjusting it to the horse. Drafts for sale is a good site as well. LF

The best person to take driving lessons from around here is Mary Alice Matheson. She is near Warrenton.
