Smiles? Giddy-up? Anyone else?

I did the Adult Amateurs for the first time. Yay! Other than getting a three in the two stride, I didn't do anything terribly embarrassing. I got an 8th in one of my trips and was really thrilled.

Giddy-up...I thought I saw your name on the IHJA medal results the first week. Congrats if that was you!

Week one for me was alright. I do have to say that showing two horses is a pita. My greenie bean was a little spaztic. My aa rounds were not the prettiest but my goal was to just get around the course in one piece and tell the tale. We had some adjustment issues and the angle lines in ring four come up so quickly... My other horse was good but on sunday I don't think the judge liked us to much... Week 2 was not so good for me, however I only brought the one horse. :innocent: Saturday we has issues with the coup line, we had some lovely chocolate chips. And sunday I had no eye... Back to back shows might be the thing I want to avoid next time.... :brickwall:

I was there my sister showed her horse in the jumpers. We had a bunch of people in our barn go...some in the A/Os, childrens, A/As, short stirrup. basically all over the place! Over all a good horseshow, very competitive though!

 WOW  - congrats to all for having a wonderful time at the show! Must have been something to see as I heard that Andre Dignelli's group from New York made the trip out.

Yes and I did hear they are coming back next year so the show must be up to their level. What I don't get is all the who-hah about him coming but than when you show outside of the state you will compete against others from either coast. :innocent:

I was there. Even had that wicked red bike out to play. :point:

Had my bay jumper there week 1 & won a class. Then had a pilot error in the classic JO & blew what could have been a very good ribbon to finish 9th. :argh: I was 7th in the IHJA which was :mallet: as a 6th would have qualified me. I did get 3rd in the M&S to redeem myself.

Week 2 I left my horses home & catch rode a jumper since I left for Spruce Meadows Sunday morning. The ride went well--Mr Trainer & the owner seemed please. I didn't fall off or embarass myself terribly. Not bad for riding it one time at home.

I just got home yesterday from Spruce & am heading to the 2 weeks at Ledges with 1 horse & then on to Equifest with hopefully both horses.

How about you? And major congrats on the aa's--there was some tough competition going on!!

Yay, Giddy-up!!!!! Sounds like you had a great show. Wish I had seen you and the naughty red bike.

You are a horseshowing fiend. How was Spruce Meadows?

While you're at Ledges, keep an eye out for Sancier in the pre-greens. He's my new boyfriend. If I can get Miller sold, I'm hoping to buy him. He's very cute, but looks a little bit like a donkey. :-)

Spruce was Spruce. It's like nothing else in the world. I call it DisneyWorld for horses. Had a rider win 2 classes this time so that was very exciting!

I am getting a little sucked into the horse show cyclone, but I am done after Equifest until Finals. Since I fair weather ride, my horses will start their winter vacay after that. :innocent:

So is he like the donkey from Shrek? A sassy donkey could be fun! ;)
