Steph, sorry to hear about all the bobbles... but keep thinking about that double clear in XC, after all that is the name of the game!! I can't tell you the number of times my mare and I had a disastrous dressage and I was practically in tears at how awful we were, and then had a fabulous cross-country that would keep me in the game another day! (and go figure, the ONE time we had a FAB dressage, in 2nd place ahead of lots of BNT's like Buck Davidson and Jane Sleeper, my mare decided that a horse-eating monster lived in the ditch under the trakehener and refused and dumped me...right in the ditch! Horses!! ) Maybe All and Rosie can find some cheap schooling dressage and jumper shows nearby to practice those two phases since they seem to have the XC down. |
