I hate to say it, but I think we are going to stay local and go to Ashley Meadows at the end of this month instead of Swan Lake. Not sure why, but hey, at least it is a closer drive for us. :)

For those going to Swannie, have fun!

The beauty of the "hat" is for it to receive something from the event in which it makes an appearance. Think we could snag the waving Santa that was in the indoor last year during the winter series? It would make for a great addition!!!

PLEASE take it away. My horse did not care--but I am informed he was in the minority. I heard quite a bit about that damn Santa!

I'll be there probably several days braiding, and I'm showing on the 27th--MHSA Adult Medal and the Adult Jumpers. Probably the Low Adults since we're going to hit McDonogh on the 29th. I'll be watching the Derby though! Think we should set up a giant TOC tent?

Gracie is right!! All the cool kids will be at Deep Run! :teehee: :teehee:

But, Deep Run is only hunters. No jumpers. :P
Actually I believe the even cooler kids will be hanging out at Roanoke that week, even farther south for some southern hospitality.

I believe cbiscuit was even planning on bringing a mini fridge... (and its not for meds or feed) :innocent:

So, it's official. I will not be showing, but did tell A.Loh that he could take the Nut (aka "his horse" as of this morning  ) to Swannie and show him in whatever. I jumped for the first time today and am physically still very weak as I just started riding on the 8th after just over a month of no riding and no gym. Lost almost all muscle tone. There is no way I will be ready to jump around the low adults next Friday, and it is also not fair to my horse who is young and green.

That being said, GOOD LUCK to all! JM - I will have to take yet another rain check. :mallet:

Kahuna-she actually does have quite an odor to her. I don't think she gets to bathe much when she's on the boat!! :teehee:

OH I beg to differ. We have a full bathroom on the boat....you know Mr JM...his idea of roughing it is slow room service and no mini-bar :) But, I might skip my shower a few times next week since I'll be sitting next to you on the golf cart. :nyah:

As sad as I am for you, I am comforted to know that I am not the only one who feels that 30 years of riding muscle tone can be lost in a month off exercise. Here's hoping for your quick recovery! I know you'll make a great comback!
