Proper Hunt Coat Fit; Need your help!

I thought there was an earlier post with tips on proper hunt coat fitting (concerning length) with pictures, but I was unable to locate it. So, where should a properly fitting hunt coat lay behind?

I am fairly tall and thin, having recently purchasing a beautiful size 12 tall slim Grand Prix hunt coat. I currently have two additional coats (both different brands and sizes) and would like to find out what my 'perfect' length should be so as I can have them altered accordingly. I am also eyeing a gorgeous Grand Prix coat for sale that is a size larger than I typically wear and is a good 2 inches shorter than the new coat I just bought. If I am correct on my thinking that my newest addition may be a tad too long, I would like to find out if another inch or so would hurt me, although they normally have some extra fabric which could be used to make it a bit longer if need be.

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated, espeically with pictures! :) Thanks!

Anyone??

I'd like to take my jacket(s) to be tailored this week as I am certain at least the tall model is a tad too long, but I'd like to be able to tell them how much to shorten everything.

it's supposed to just brush your seat as you are riding. Some people say it should hang to the bottom edge of your ass, but then I find I sit on it and it pulls on my neck and i don't like it....so mine are usually an inch or two from the bottom of my bum.
