:) What do you guys think?? It might be fun, and a way to pass books around that we have read and to share with out friends.
I got the idea from Getting the book yesterday from DQ. Its not expensive, we dont have to go and buy one, and we could maybe get a sticky or a forum to keep a list etc.
BTW this book is gonna be gooood. I have only read one chapter last night and it instantly interested me. Not smultzy , but well written, and its a mystery. Cant wait to get some time to read! :)

I'll try....BUT I'm NOT a fast reader...

I will see what books I can knock the dust off of...HEY...my mom is an avid reader..I'll just take some of hers..and go on her recommendations...

I would like the suspenseful ones...but NOT too scarrry...I am the QUEEN of .....ScardyCat

DOES anyone have an extra Nancy Drew laying around :teehee: :teehee:

I think it's a great idea!!! I have lots of books I'd be willing to share. :) If we post some things we are looking for, maybe someone will speak up and say they will loan it out!!

I am a slow reader due to not much time, but I take good care of books! :)

P.S. Kim, if DQ is agreeable, I wouldn't mind reading that book when you're done. ;)

ok..I have stolen...I mean took 2 books from my mothers....

WITH her blessing...and a..."if they don't want them, I'll take them back"....she's read them already...geeeze louise....I guess that's what happens when you are 76

OK..

"The Ex-Debutante"...a novel by Linda Francis Lee....my mothers said it's like a "Devil wears Prada" type

Posted Image

"The Hearts of Horses" ...a novel by Molly Gloss...my mother said it's a 1917's Western gals adventures...

Posted Image

LET me know if anyone would like to read these and then PASS them on...

I am looking for semi suspenseful or Crime books...I think...I really don't read much...but the ones I have read do include the more "searching for clues" type of book...NOT TOO SCARY EITHER...(Chicken $hit here)

If there are NONE out there...no biggie...

I guess PM me if you'd like one of these books...

THEN SIGN IT...and DATE it...and LET someone else read it..

HH :)

I am glued to my current book The Woods.
This morning I was thinking how disappointed I am when I finish a good book, and that I wanted to loan this novel to a friend. How ironic! :woot:

HH - I think I would probably enjoy reading The Hearts of Horses sometime, but no rush, because I have a couple other books to get through first! :)

Also - HH - I have some older John Grisham and James Patterson if you want suspenseful. Let me know if you want some of them.

Also, besides the above I have a bunch of Andrew Greeley, the whole series of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series (got the new one today for an early birthday present! ), and miscellaneous horse books including In & Out (good fiction but pretty raunchy), and a book from a few years ago about David & Karen O'Connor.

Kim - I'll look forward to reading that book! No rush though!

A bit of a different horse book I have is:
"Horse of a Different Color" by Jim Squires. It's well written by the breeder of Monarchos. Very interesting behind the scenes look at a smaller TB breeding operation.
I'm more than happy to send to anyone who has an interest.

Okay, this may sound like SUCH a 14 year old's book (because it kind of is) but it's a GREAT book. It's called Twilight, and it's part of a 3 (soon to be 4) part series. The next two books are called Eclipse and New Moon. All the books are by Stephanie Meyer. And of course everyone loves the Saddle Club books (sorry. I go back and read the few that I have when I'm bored)!
