2Dogs, I love that picture of her! Thanks so much! I am just beyond happy with my little filly. I just can't wait till I get to ride her! She is my first baby, I have had her since she was 4 months old and it has been such a wonderful experience raising her and watching her grow! :cloud9:

This is the picture from when she was 1 month old, I think? that made me fall in love with her...

She looks great...she looks like she's filled out and blossomed a lot in the past month....starting to look more like her half sister.

nope. she is out of the same mare as the filly I showed on the line last year. I have, historically, not seen the family resemblance other than the markings, but she's looking more like her as she matures and fleshes out a bit (stella is a refined tanker). Moses (the side saddle horse) is also out of the same mare, but he doesn't look like either of them so much other than the fact that they're all compact and with kind eyes and pretty heads. He has a bull neck and is almost black and these two are more refined (well, they are girls) bays...but he did used to get mistaken for a girl when he was younger :teehee:

Thanks everyone!

Yes, Lorelei is Stella's baby 1/2 sister. As Rachel said they are all very different except for the same doey, big, kind eyes. To me Lorelei and Stella don't look at all alike. The 2 of them are quite different. Lorelei really seems to take after her sire with regards to her topline & shoulder. To me Stella really looks a lot more like she takes after her mother (who is gorgeous). Where you really 'see' the family resemblance is in their personalities. All of them are very in your pocket and ammie friendly! :P

respectfully disagree. To me, Moses takes after the dam hands down--i don't see his sire at all, Stella takes after her sire but with some traits of her dam (like her small size), and Lorelei is a mixture of both...since sloping shoulder is a key ingredient to good movers, which is every single one of the dam's offspring, I wouldn't discount that the sloping shoulder comes from the dam's side, wink wink, not the stallion's, since she hasn't ever had a foal, to my knowledge, without a sloping shoulder....and the neck/shoulder is the first part i thought was looking more like Stella....where I see the difference is in the torso--your mare seems to be longer backed than both of mine (which i wouldn't mind having in either of mine), which I think comes from Lorelei's sire. but you can't get me to believe this isn't a similar shoulder:
