Major fretting going on here........the blue saddle pad with the brown embroidery just happens to be in our barn colors. What are the chances that they will last until the 28th when I get there for my vendor booth babysitting shift? :(

:( it is my understanding that the baby blue/brown and seafoam green/white sold out as of thursday afternoon. When I stopped by yesterday, they only had pink, white with pink trim, and white with navy trim. I'll see if there's any held back pads but I doubt it. If something can be done to scounge up another-- I will, but don't get your hopes up.

Thanks. I thought so but it has been a while since I have done anything with them. Usually Devon is for the big stuff. Like last year my loffly Pinnell 1/2 chaps! I am strapped for cash this year so my big purchase will be a name plate. Just trying to do my part for the economy! ;)

The Pinnell half chaps are amazing. I was seriously coveting a few of them. His belts are fabulous too.

Back in 2001 I got a pair of his full chaps. They are wonderful and have held up great since I trade off with 1/2 chaps in the warmer months. I think that his stuff is not only beautiful but also a great investment in riding gear that will last. OK, so that is what I tell myself to soften the purchase price!!

The funny thing is that I bought a pair of 1/2 chaps at upperville in 2006, they were pretty but never fit and they did not really stand behind what I bought from them. It is also hard when I think that they are based out of the south. I wasted $300 b/c the following year I got my 1/2 chaps from Chuck where I should have just started!

....will........try......too.......resist........purchasing......waffle.......sheet........from......Malvern.........

While in college, I rode at the same barn for a while where Katrina from the Clothes Horse rode. Being a loyal sort of gal :) I like to give her business whenever possible. Of course, the beautiful show sheet and show scrim that I ordered last year, in a size 82, do not fit the new little "space efficient" size 78 horsie. :innocent: So, once again I will need to go to the bank-of-the-hubby......
but will need to space it appropriately, since I just sprung on him this AM about Julien from Antares coming to the barn today to look at said new horse and my saddle and the need for new panels. The DH vetoed a new saddle - that's ok - the panels :luck: will solve the problem.

But back to Devon.............will.......not.......splurge........at........Malvern..........on.......beautiful......horse.........clothing.....................will.................call................Katrina!

Hey, I have some nice 78 stuff. I have a custom Wilsun-version Baker but with hunter trim, surcingles, etc. instead of blue ... I think I have a Rambo (heavy) too. Let me know if you need anything. Dear Nigel could use some things in his size (uh 80-82).

Cheers,
Jessica

who has a lovely Clothes Horse wool dress sheet and scrim (for Nigel).

How much do you want to spend? I bet you could easily get up in to $750 half chaps if you get lots of options. My good friends were $475 (if I recall correctly) and they are fairly basic. But worth the money if you have it to splurge. The are the most beautiful chaps ever.
