Hi Everyone!

I haven't posted in ages. Work has been insane and finally settling down.....

This past week my 4 yr old pet guinea pig passed away. I think I'm still mourning, I look at his empty cage and tear up and when I rustle plastic bags I wait to hear his squeaks and nothing happens. I tear up again. Ugh.... :,(

I've never owned my own dog. I'm 26 years old, and live the "horse show gypsy lifestyle".... which I think suites a dog fairly well. I spend 6 months up north, and 6 months in FL. I always had a dog when I lived with my parents...

A friend of mine just had a litter of puppies.... well, her dog had the litter

She had them DNA tested and they have border collie and german shepherd in them. Their mother was a 20 pound mutt. (I love me some mutts!) She is looking for good home for these puppies.

My one problem is the apartment I move back into next week has a "no pet policy except your guinea pig". However... I move out of that apartment mid may. I hate to break rules... but... they would probably not even know I had the puppy!

I'm just looking for feedback I guess.... first dog experiences.... I'm also thinking I may be desperate for a new pet since the passing of my piglet this week. :(

So. Whatcha all think?

IF your lifestyle allows for it, adopt the puppy!
You will look back 10 years from now and realize it was the smartest thing you ever did. :)

Good to see you point view!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your piglet. GP's are the bestest! We had one for years, "Nimmy Bar Choo" and he was quite the character. I see BH is totally smitten with her love bug, too, and who wouldn't be?? Such a handsome piggy. :cloud9:

I can not imagine my life without my "family" of fur children, and it sounds like you've got room in your heart for a new furry friend. Far be it from me to advise you to get a puppy and break your rental agreement. ;)

Good luck in your decision. :)

lol, do it! Nothing better then a puppy! You'll love it. I totally recommend taking puppy classes too to get your pup socialized, plus its a blast to see the little thing bounce around with his/her friends and they often give you some good training tips. My god I miss those days! Puppies are tonnes of work, but sooo worth it!

And when you give in to our wisdom and get the puppy, POST PICTURES! :teehee:
