Heading out now for my first run of the year. It will be very short I'm sure. Very soft and out of shape after a long winter!

Spring is sure here - for now! Ticks, birds, greening grass - and are those BUDS I see in the trees?

The two old geldings have been hesitant to move to their lower field, going a little further each day. Today, they galloped down after breakfast for a short graze.

Looking up at Mt Greylock from my back yard, I still see snow under the bare trees.....

Boo and I are working on hills today.  :)

Going to try and rub in the springtime thing, just went and got photos of our daffodils. Some are fading and some are about to fade.

What I call an "old timey" daffodil, they're very fluffy, been here for eons, I imagine; they are early daffies, so this one is past prime:

When I first moved here, I actually planted a bunch of daffodils; of course, I'm clueless as to names and varieties. This type has a pale peach center:

This is my favorite of all...3 blossoms on each stem; again, I have no idea what it's called:

And Boots, awakened from sleeping again under the bird feeder, next to just regular old garden-variety daffodils:

Boosma-
If I walk to the exact right spot, I can barely make out Mt. Greylock from my house also. :)
OTF-

I just realized that I have been feeling better, and in a better mood yesterday and today, than I have since I was in St. John in February. It's absolutely amazing what some fresh air, sun and physical activity can do for your mood. :)

Our daffodils came and went already. We usually get an early warm spell when they bloom in late February. I took some gorgeous spring flower pictures a couple weeks ago but had problems getting them on my computer so I can't share.

KaliTude is coming up this weekend - just in time for some 70-80 degree weather and a weekend of pony playtime!!

The days have been lovely and sunny, but the nights are still oh so cold...bbrrrrrrr!

I'm so ready for hot weather. So ready. So. Ready.
