Gender, as of yet, is undecided. It's the hermaphrodite car. :o Once a name is chosen, gender will follow suit.

My scooter is a boy..Vinnie. The Jeep is just the Jeep. No gender...just happy to be whatever. My iPod is a boy. The Yaris seems like a girl to me. Too cute for a boy. But I liked the name Gilbert (it was first purchased in Gilbert, AZ...so that's where that come from. I will probably get busted for that because the driver and passenger windows are tinted...which is illegal in CA...'cause you know...they've got to see our faces when we commit a drive-by. )

:teehee:
The lovely town of Gilbert, AZ was one town over from where I spent my years of exile in AZ!!! We lived in Chandler, and the ponies lived in Gilbert....come to think of it, Snacky, a certain gray mare still lives in Gilbert....could this be FATE??? :P

Oh my goodness 3bays...you're a stronger woman than me!!! We lived there for 6 1/2 years...2 in Phoenix (well, Ahwatukee, to be exact) the rest in Chandler. We lived at the intersection of Pecos & McQueen, across from the Basha's. And I spent a few years working for Tom at Desert Saddlery...have you been there??

Yep, it had occurred to me. :P Ruby (for that is her name) might need a trip back home. ;) 'Cept fate has taken a nasty turn for me, so I'm no longer subscribing to whatever she is offering.

OH MY TOM, Chezzie!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jaw: :jaw: :jaw:

I have known Tom at Desert Saddlery for 33 years!!!!!!!!! Met him when I was but a young 3Bays. And, so YES I see him regularly...WHEN did you work there? Maybe you and I have MET and don't know it! WOW! :o

And, I live in the San Tan Mountain Park area (the boonies)!

As for being stronger than you...t'ain't my choice...it was due to the DH's job at ASU. He's retiring this summer, but we have no plans (and no money) yet to leave this godforsaken outskirt of hell.

Believe me, I'd MUCH rather live in the Seattle area (lived there for a year at one point and I REGRET leaving...STOOOOOOOPID decision for me personally).

WOW, Chez...smallllll world, eh? ;)

So, where are you now? (Sorry if you've said, but I've spaced where you are?) :innocent:

Wow 3bays...it really is a small world!! I worked part time for Tom, (mostly for the employee discount) about 4 or 5 years ago. My horses were with Rachel Jansen at Crossroads Farm, right down the street from Desert Saddlery. If you ever went in there on a Saturday, I bet we did meet... Next time you go in there, tell him Laurel says hello, and I bet he'll about fall off his chair. :P

We lived there because of hubby's job, too. He worked at the Motorola facility in Queen Creek. When we had the chance to get out, we jumped at it, and came to PA 3 years ago. Good thing, too....that Motorola plant got closed last year.... :(

My little sister lives out there now...she's in Tempe. We joke that it's a family right of passage to go live in the desert with a boy.... :teehee:

First, cute car. They get great gas milage and remind me of all the cars I drove in England. It's about time.

3Bays and Chezzie, several of my aunts and cousins live in Gilbert. They have little ranchettes (1 acre places with small horse areas) there in Gilbert. They all moved there in the 1970s.

Oh my goodness!!! I must have made quite an impression....did I do or say something really bizarre or offensive??? :teehee:

Wow...the world really is a small place! Hubby and I had another of these six degrees moments at a concert this weekend. We were in the VIP section, chatting with the bass player's parents...come to find out they know hubby's parents!!

3bays, who do you know over at Crossroads? I bet we have some friends in common....

:P No, Laurel, you didn't make an awful impression! Actually, since I was nearing 50 at the time and it was my FIRST owned horse, I was VERY VERY excited and so the shopping for my stuff for that horse was impressionable...and it just happened to be lucky YOU that got excited me! You were VERY sweet and VERY helpful...THAT's why I remember you!

Don't have anybody as of now that's there...I knew a Susan Crismon there at one point...but it's been a while. I have my boys at home now and have had them home for over 4 years, and when they were boarded it was elsewhere...but, it's a LOFFFFFLY place!

Hmmmmm....Susan.....is she by chance young, blonde, and ummmm "well endowed"? If so, then I definitely knew her! Too funny...

And Snacky, I told hubby you got a new car. He asked what kind. I said a Yaris. He said (with NO prompting from me!!) "She should call it Yuri the Yaris." I was :o ....you two really do share a brain....
