I'm heading to San Diego at the beginning of April for the annual Experimental Biology conference (super nerd here). Anyway, we are getting there on Friday at 12 and have until Sunday morning to just play in the city. :one: Plus, the conference only goes until 5 or so, so we have Sun-Tues (leave Wens) nights to explore.

What should we do? We are going to be at the Conference center if that helps. TIA!

The food there is amazing. Dao is one of the best Thai places I've ever been to.

Petco Park is a really fun place to see a baseball game and you can walk there from the convention center. You'll be in the Gaslamp district which has fun restaurants and night life. I recommend the trolley tour as a great way to see the city and get the lay of the land. It goes over to Coronado Island and you can visit the hotel there.

Definitely check out the zoo.

And definitely have lunch at the The Prado in Balboa Park. It's just lovely.

Have a great trip!

Thanks everyone! Restaurant recs would be great since I've never been there and my mom couldnt remember where she went!

The best part of the trip is everything is paid (plane, hotel, food) for except my spending money and booze!! And it seems like we will have quite a bit of time to explore when we arent at the conference.

VX-where is that Thai restaurant?
