She checked in the system and UME accepted almost all of my old BS credits. 102 credits worth! So I think other than "oral comms" every English, Social Science and humanities / elective requirement is met...and then some
The algebra 2 requirement is because I didn't score high enough on the CLEP. I'm going to try again in a couple weeks, now that I'm a little more refreshed on algebra. They also offer a chemistry waiver test, so I'm going to take that in April to see if I can skip ahead there as well. She gave me sample questions from the test! If I can, fine. If not, then I'm already registered for this summer. It's too late for me to get into microbiology for summer anyway -- there are 40 slots and 39 are already filled Just as well...I think that's too tough a course to jam into summer! My final worry is moolah, as in funds are running low. I barely slept last night, but then today Chase sent me another school loan offer letter. I'm not taking it (yet) but saved the letter...just in case. Advisor said I will get a letter from UME in a couple weeks telling me what aid I qualify for. I got all dressed up, but the career fair with MLT rep from hospital isn't until *next* week. Oh, and the advisor said the same as the students...they are *desperate* for help in the lab! Anyway, today was a dry run for something other than barn jeans and sweatshirt The worst thing is that the fair is right after we dissect an eyeball And today we were warned to remember our goggles cuz sometimes they squirt One student's mother told her to dissect it from the back, that way it's not looking at you
Oh, and in another happy development, along with several other students, I got 100 on last week's lab practical. And my cardiovascular score was slightly better than I expected -- 92, so still in A territory. |

Ooo marey good for you! Consider the dress up a dry run and good practice for next time. I do a lot of interviews JUST for the practice so when the REAL thing comes along I am ready. Loans - READ READ READ the fine print. Gov-mint backed loans are best. READ all the fine print carefully!!!!! |
