So I am relaxing after work and my phone rings and it is a number I do not reconize with an area code I only know is with in the same state I live in but can not quite put my finger on what location exactally..

So silly me I answer it... The person on hte other end introduces herself ( the name I can not remeber ) along with " I am the incomming District 6 President for the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW." Im thinking ok why is she calling me I go to the district meetings in the capacity of my being an officer of my local auxiliary. Trying my best to remain inconspicious(sp) in a corner somewhere not being noticed.

She asks me if I would be willing to take a district position? That the current district President recomended that she utilize me on a district level even if she has to make up a position to do so. Well with that kind of recomendation who can say no huh??? SO offically I will be the "banner carrier" unoffically I will be her internet email person ie she needs to send out mass emails to the aux's in the district I will be doing that and setting up a district web site and things like that..

So I just committed my self to 4 district meeting a year 2 conferances a year, and 3 or 4 other meeting type things a year and 2 'school of information' a year luckly they are on weekends and start mostly after noon so I will not miss much work cept the state convention which is a 4 day thing in hte summer..

Luckly my boss is a Vet and understands these things and already said when I told him about the Aux and district meetings to just let him know a day or so ahead of time and it will be no problems because while the horses are important Vets are more important.

But one day I will have to learn to say No or I will be running from one end of hte state to the other every day....
