Thank God I'm American!

We can complain all we want about our Govt. but when it boils down to it we really have to admit we have a lot to be thankful for.

Any society that feels the need to banish items that represent love and tenderness should really reexamine their priorities... However, I'm afraid we will never see an equality between men and women among all ME nations in our life time... a two to nine year imprisonment for the malicious rape of a woman (who will probably be mentally scarred, shamed and scorned by her culture for the rest of her miserable life) is not only unjust, but an outrage... but what do you expect from a world where women are property and on the same level (or just below) that of livestock?

It's from generations of woman being taught to keep their expectations low...or to have no expectations at all other than to be a "good wife" and raise children. Easy to attain if they're not exposed to anyone other than family members who have the same ideals and principles. :sigh:

You can't want a bettter life if you don't know that one exists.
