That's ok, Trial. I also was suffering from caffeine-withdrawal. I ran out of coffee AND forgot to take my curves. Two chunks of semisweet bakers choco straight up helped. Need more chocolate.

Another lesson learned: don't study statistics right before bed. Yes, it helps it to sink in. I also woke up with a wicked headache from it. Took until night barn to shake it.

Message heard loud and clear. Keep away from organic chemistry!

Yes, I've wracked up a 100% average in Biology and so far in Anatomy. Hate to wreck it now, especially while money and program decisions are being made. And since I'm in my 50s, I have somethin' to prove to the kiddies. And myself. Like I AM NOT ALL WASHED UP!

Watsoncrick, Naters, yikes! What a way to kill a summer.

The hectic pace is skeering me, he keeps ending the class talking at about 100 mph. First class, the oldest student (she looks to be pushing 70! :o ) finally snarled at him, "Will ya SLOW DOWN?!? Yer GOIN' TOO FAST!!!!!"   I've been able to keep up with him, but I think his stress has penetrated my spirit. Every time I sit down to study I start going faster, faster, faster!

Anyway, I think I'm going to go in early on Monday -- he's available the hour before class -- for help with my fancy-schmancy calculator. I can do the basic stuff, but I have a sneaking suspician that there are shortcuts to handle long lists at once. If he's going to give us homework problems with a bazillion values, I'd rather just enter the data once than have multiple opportunities for data entry errors.

I also was suffering from caffeine-withdrawal. I ran out of coffee....

Enough said. That is a fate nearly worse than death....! Sorry I lacked empathy.....now if you had mentioned the coffee.....my heart would bleed for you!

Good luck. I went to grad school PT as an adult and it just sucked. At least in undergrad there is the thrill of meeting new friends, hot guys and sneaking into bars while underrage. As an adult student there is no thrill. Just lots of work with the hope that it will be worth it in the end.

naters - I see your Thermo - that class sucked thanks to a teacher that sucked. I wanted to learn it - and later I did, over the summer on my own reading and rereading the damm book. Entropy, enthalpy - the whole idea thrilled me. Still does. Iwant to make a car engine run on magnets only....nuther story.

Chem- yeah, did that class on Saturdays - 16 weeks of class for 6 hours and lab for 2 on Saturdays over the winter. Yikes. BAAAAD way to learn chem. Too fast, too much. I had flash cards for the elements.....gawd I think I still have them!!

Statistics - can be useful but yes, another class you NEED a good instuctor.

The WORST class? Hmm, not calc, not diffy Q, not Physics....I'd have to say Dynamics. That would be Physics on speed. (Where you take what you learned in Calc, Diffy Q and Physics and apply it to objects in motion and what happens next. See cuz Physics, Diffy Q and Calc are your alphabet and Dynamics is using the alphabet to make sense of say, roller coasters forces on a body, or a car in an accident or the force your helmet must absorb to save your skull if you crash.)

Remember: Stats is a weeder class. It weeds out those who truely aren't interested in going on.

HOLY FREAKIN' MOLY!!!!!! I ACED MY FIRST STAT QUIZ!!!!!!! :one:  :one:  :one:  :one: Where's the smiley for handsprings?!?!

My only mistake was I forgot those 2 labels. Teacher says he doesn't care what we label them as long as we have the right stuff in them. Think next time I'll just give them creative names, like George, Sally, Alfonso, Guinivere
