I'm kinda with Jilli on this -
The new boarder was told to use the blanket on a particular peg.
unfortunately you unknowingly placed your horse's blanket on that same peg.
the new boarder would have had no idea it was your blanket and really had no reason to check for a name or anything else as it was on the identified peg.

you should have called or at the very least found another blanket to place on the new boarder's horse and left a note.

the water however is an issue that I would be a bit twisted panties about

Agree with MissBri and Jill. It sounds like it was an unfortunate misunderstanding, but everyone involved made a boo boo, not just the other person. Drakefly, if your sheet hadn't been where it didn't belong anyway (on the gone horse's peg), there's a good chance that the whole thing wouldn't have happened. If I had been given the instructions the BM gave to the other lady, I too probably wouldn't have checked whose sheet it was. BM said use the sheet on that peg, so she used the sheet on that peg. I wouldn't have thrown a hissy fit about it the way this other lady did, but that's beside the point.

On the other hand, you should definitely throw a hissy with the BM about the water. That's totally unacceptable given your horse's special needs.
