If you should fall off and wack your head who knows who you are or who to call? They will if you put it on the underside of your helmet visor!! Your name and in case of emergency call: xxx-xxx-xxxx. I thought that was brilliant. NOT IN YOUR HELMET in case helmet must be left on you!!!! |

Whenever I'm out on the trails I carry my ID, a copy of my health insurance card, and my doctor's business card. Good idea to add the phone number to the helmet visor! |

I always carry my cell phone which has EMERGENCY CONTACT XXX-XXXX in it. Never thought about carrying a copy of my id and insurance card. May have to do that in a little something waterproof. And the visor idea sounds great too. |

It's a good idea but one thought won't stop bothering me, enought that I have to say it. Especially in my neck of the woods.. some idiot is going to tip that visor up sharply and awkwardly to get a better look at the information. Head, far from remaining immobile, is going to be twisted severly. But it's a good start to thinking aobut how to carry ID. |

I rode at one place that provided round dog tags with the farm name and number on them to keep on your bridle. That way if you and your horse separate and the horse is found, they would know who to notify. When we left the barn, you were supposed to write your name on the white board and where you planned to ride so you could be found. |

But if you are knocked unconsious and found you want them to know who you are w/o goping through your pockets. I think most people are smart enough (seen CSI and other emergency tv shows) to NOT tip a head up unless to open an airway. A seperate tag on a bridle would be a good idea too. |
