Thank you :) Yes, they are from this year... I took them day before yesterday.... now the snow is mostly gone and all we have left is mud :sigh: .... but we do have more snow in the forecast (just a dusting really, but enough to make everything look bright and clean again) :cheer: .

Copper - your pictures are just GORGEOUS - the close up of the horse's eye is so beautiful. You are very talented!

Brydelle - I love a red barn!!! I kind of wish that I had made mine red - it's beautiful!

Fishy - love your two tone barn - that's really unique! And your house is gorgeous! (Sorry you were ill after the holidays.)

Trial - the Arctic Hony is adorable! That is such a beautiful photo.

Thanks for joining in and sharing your lovely photos and glad everyone enjoyed the pictures of Tucker jumping at snow flakes...he had so much fun. He is a lab mix - you would never know he is a mix except for his big white chest. We got him from the SPCA about 3 months ago and we are so in love with him.

Thanks! It is very old, the snow freshened it up in this photo. :) I am hoping that 2008 holds good things for my barn's exterior and that this will be the year we can finally update it. :) It will be yellow with red/maroon/brick trim to match our house. :)

I woke up around 8:30 on Thursday morning and noticed the snow. Last time it got even a bit icy, they delayed school opening, so I went out into the hallway to ask. There was a huge party going on (I'm surprised it didn't wake my roommate, as she is a light sleeper.) I asked why everyone was so awake, and they yelled, "SCHOOL'S CANCELLED!" I was confused. I'm from a part of Maryland where school doesn't get cancelled until you have upwards of 6 inches and black ice on the roads. I thought they meant it was delayed, so I asked how long, and was whapped over the head and told it was cancelled.

My friend Hillary and I promptly decided that the best way to spend an impromptu snow day was to get out while it was still snowing.

Off we went!

There's no use in having a snow day without being silly. We probably should not have been paying so little attention to two snorty Thoroughbreds in the snow.

But they were good Thoroughbreds, and Tip distracted himself by alternately trying to eat Spector and catching snowflakes on his tongue. We finally headed back when Tip's ears were soaked with melted snow.

When all ears were dry and all snowballs were removed from pony feet, we coerced someone into taking pictures.

After this was taken, Tip started chewing on Spector's ear. Poor Spec.

I love looking at everyone's snow pictures! It's makes me miss being at the barn, being outside taking piccies. As soon as we're out of the -40's here I am going straight to the barn with the camera!!! In the meantime I will pretend I am in all your photo's. ;)
