My children bought me a lovely new Beval shirt for Christmas but now I need to get the collars monogrammed! Will Bevel's do it on a shirt already purchased or do any of you know any place I can send the collars to? TIA!

When I needed to get my collars done I took them to the kiosk in the mall that did embroidery... they were done within 20 mins and came out great! I also got a really good deal because I had around 6 collars that needed to be done. :)

Yes, Beval will do a shirt already purchased. Just bring in the collars and take them over to the Yarnbasket desk. They will show you a gazillion colors/styles/pictures. Then if you don't want to go back to pick them up, just have them ship the finished product to you for about $6 I think.

The sad thing is, I've had so many shirts done there that they know what I'm going to pick... :P

I've been really happy with Personalized Products. Check 'em out at Personalized Products

They'll fax you a sheet of collar designs. You just fill out the order form, then pop your collars in the mail and, voila, you have gorgeous collars in a short amount of time.

I let them pick out the thread colors and they did a great job.

Personalized Products has always done mine too.

I went through a phase of doing fancy ones all the time but I'm moving back towards just a simple navy blue H on everything again.

I always get my stuff done at the horse show-- there is a guy who does a great job and he always has a booth during the A shows. He does them right there- usually I can come back and get them in a couple hours.

I do a fancy one on one collar and a script "L" on the other in a shade of the same color as the shirt. A light blue shirt gets a medium blue L, for example. So I can be subtle if I want to... :teehee:

Thanks-I knew you all would come thru! I guess the first thing I need to do is learn how to type/spell or the monogramms could turn out reallt strange!

Mine usually take longer because my local monogramming lady is very particular and rips the seam at the bottom and only does the front face. That way it's easier to get the front button in.

I have been very happy using Claire at Fox Heath (she is not the one who sewed over the buttom holes, btw). She is the nicest person.

She did these lovely collars...

It's a tailored sportsman coolmax shirt and it's wonderful. I called Claire and she ordered it for me, and then sold it to me at regular cost-- even though she had to special order it. If you want, I can see if I have the recipet showing the name of that stripe. It's the only TS coolmax shirt with peach stripe, I think.
