Just a quiet request from a lurker who participated in the SS and is TRYING to participate in this one PLEEEEAAAASSSE don't vote us out on post count alone. It took a lot of guts for me to jump in (my fears fully unsupported by the present company, of course <3 ), and I'm still getting my feet wet!

My grandma used to tell me (repeatedly) "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". Railmom, my road to hell is paved in super-smooth high-speed concrete. :innocent: :innocent: I for one am simply trying to PROLONG the holiday spirit as long as I possibly can - do you buy that? I'll work on it this week!

And Twiceshy was a WONDERFUL SS to me! I'm glad she participated!!!

None of the threads are gone. Just hiding. To find old threads (since the search function on this software is nonexistent) pick the forum you think it is in either Hay Loft or Barn Aisle. Then at the bottom of that page you can select the criteria to show the topics, I always use From the beginning for the from box. You should be able to find it then.

Very sweet of you to say, MellieBay!

Unfortunately I have lost some of my SS mojo
And have been unable to muster a ho-ho (ho).
Miss RailMom has been patient
While my lifeskills are on the descent.
And yeah, my poetry still sucks. <_<

A series of unfortunate events is (are?) conspiring against me. I won't throw the pity party here but maybe I'll perform some benefit retail therapy this weekend! Benefit to Railmom, that is... ;)

Ohhh Raaaaaiilllllmoooooommmmmm!

Elf2 went to Santa's delivery kiosk yesterday and was displeased to discover that they had closed up shop (for the day). So Elf2 elected to move on and use CUPID'S delivery service. It seems however that Cupid's helpers are not quite as sharp as Santa's elves - perhaps they're Santa's farm team? Witness: after handing the carefully packaged box to curmudgeounly cupid, said cupid TOSSED the box onto the floor. Hearing the ensuing rattle, cumudeonly cupid growled, "Was there anything fragile in there?". :pissed:

While there's nothing fragile in the box I suspect that the box will not arrrive with its contents as carefully ensconced as they were when I handed the box over, so you'll have to imagine how nice it must have looked.... when I packed it.

Enjoy - my gift is meant to trump Punxsatawney Phil and force a spring thaw!

NO MORE WINTER! NO MORE WINTER! NO MORE WINTER! Say it with me! NO MORE WINTER! :cheer:

I recieved a CUPID box last night <3 from twiceshy! I am in Raleigh this week (Mr. railmom is having surgery) so I can't open it until I get home :sigh: But the good news is DH is doing very well and I have a box waiting for me :cheer: My daughter (who is horse/critter sitting) says it is a big box and it rattles!

Yay Cupid! When I saw your thread about things to do in Raleigh I did fret that the box would disappear (or blow away!). Glad to hear your DD was there to rescue it.

Hope your husband recuperates quickly and uneventfully. :luck: Enjoy your time in Raleigh - I moved to my current home near Boston from there (not voluntarily, I might add!). I miss it there especially on days like today!

Thanks so much, great to come home to pressies
