The weather here stinks! It snowed about 8" last night and then warmed up to about 38 and rained all day. It is supposed to snow more all week. Yuk!

I can't wait to start driving again! I'll be hard pressed to be ready for the first event in April at this rate. :brickwall:

All my horses are working at is perfecting their snow angel techniques. :sigh:

I sympathize with you! I am lucky in that our barn has an indoor - I can drive all winter! I try and keep the variety by doing cones, setting up obstacles, etc., plus I also ride. I don't know what I would do without one! It also has it's advantages in the summer - i can go in there and drive so I won't scare all the $75K jumpers out in the big ring!

Close your eyes, and soon all of the white stuff will turn to mud, and then it will be spring and all will be right with the world!

I love winter driving. I am still hitching 3 to 5 times a week to feed cows with the horses. The days it snows hardest are the best days to use the horses. I spend the same time doing chores just with the horses we don't plow snow but we spend time harnessing. The ski resort 16 miles away is now over 250 inches of snow for the year. We have about 18 to 24 inches on the flat where the wind hasn't piled it in a drift. LF

We just spent the last few days well above freezing, with rain, and now all of our snow is gone. I can't drive because the ground is too wet and slippery. Can't wait for the snow to return so I can sleigh!

Of all seasons, I dislike spring the most, because I have limited places I can drive while things are firming up. And I hate mud!

Feel free to take some snow. It is STILL falling. We are now at 8 inches for the day. LF

LF, I envy your snow, it packs and you can get out. Ours comes and goes, dry, wet, melt, freeze.

I wish I had pneumatic tires for my marathon carriage, I think it would be better to go out with than the regular wheels.

I am going to ID next week, but the Gooding area, so not great for snow outings.

I am the far side of the state on the Wyoming line. I didn't know anyone went to Gooding unless it was to visit the state school for the deaf and blind. Or if you are a dairy cow. <_< I think they even have some snow this year.

Good luck.

Very funny LF <_<

My sweetie grew up in Gooding, but I am actually going to Bliss. MIL lives there. Going for FIL's funeral, yuck.

Your correct it is a Yuck reason to go. Bliss is almost as small as my hometown of Clawson. In our prime we were 75 people. It has dwindled and we are 54 but one on the way. Hope your trip is uneventful as possible. LF
