If I am not mistaken I believe Theodore O'Connor is the 'Teddy' that is Pywnnorman's horse on TOB... I might be wrong. Yep, Sapphire is McLain Ward's GP horse.

The others are breed horses, I think one is an Arabian, one I think is a Saddlebred and I forget what the other one is. I read the bios on all the horses a month or so ago and don't remember who's who as well as I should.

Miranda Cadwell is a driver. This is from the American Driving Society website.

f you are a USEF member, please cast your vote in support of Randy Cadwell and her Individual Gold Medal winning pony pair, Toby and Topaz. Randy became the first American driver to bring home a team bronze and an individual gold medal in Dorthlyst, Denmark in 2007.

Randy had an impressive competition year in 2007, winning every major US Combined Driving Event (CDE), including Live Oak. There they won the marathon and had the best FEI score. She won every marathon phase of every CDE they entered in 2007 including the Pony World Championships. “Toby and Topaz are brothers who have been a pair since they were 5 years old. They think and act as one. They are the fastest ponies in the World” said Randy.

Aeqqus+// is a big time winning Arabian park horse-multiple National champion. When you see those symbols after an Arabian or half Arabians name you know the horse has won a lot.
Theodore O'Connor is the pony that Karen O'connor won gold on at the recent Pan am games. (He is part Arab! :-) )

As far as people, Scott Stewert is the only one I recognize. I am not sure how these contenders get there but maybe the affiliate organizations nominate them?

Michelle Macfarlane rides and breeds saddlebreds. She won the big five gaited class at the World's Grand Championship horse show in Kentucky. She is one of the few people to win it more than once, I think, and one of the few women.

Michelle has been in Saddlebreds forever. I remember her from the early 70's. Her mother Eleen Scripps Davis also showed. They did the Rose Parade every year, too. I think they were the first (at least on the West Coast) to breed Paint Saddlebreds. She's had some great horses over the years.
