Yeah, as for customer service I have a complaint too. My barn was stabled in the main barn where I was paying for a stall along with the other ten horses that were there. This is the second week in a row that we have been there. It was FREEZING last night so I went to the wash stall area and asked if there was a bathroom that I could change in. It was so late and my division was not even going until 9pm. I asked if there was a bathroom. I was met with a very rude answer of NO. I have a hard time thinking that there is not bathroom but even if there isn't, the answer I got left me colder and bothered. No compassion but who cares about us, the exhibitors who are helping this farm to be here and for the shows to be successful. This was not my first time there and it will not be my last but I guess I will go fully dressed next time for my 8 hour wait to show.

And you keep going back why????? :brickwall:

I know we joked about it, but common courtesy doesn't take much. It was great spending time with you!

You know what they say Frisbee... 3rd time's a charm! RH I wish you had been there the 2nd day... ;) Lynn was telling people how we went into her office to request the split... Her Mommie Dearest quote "this ain't my first time at the rodeo" was priceless... for a moment there I looked around to make sure there were no wire hangers! :P
Damn that would have been perfect for YouTube! :innocent:

I hope all of you showing today do well! We have 2 AA's from my barn showing... but thank god my horse got out of there yesterday... not soon enough for me! :pissed:

Renn were you the lovely young lady that Silver Bells introduced me to? If so it was very nice to meet you and good luck today.

Everybody thanks for the nice comments about my boy. He was great.

The comment around the fire was that entries at SL tend to slack off as the year goes on. I think people get tired of dealing with it and when there are more shows to choose from they'd rather go where management is better. For those in Central PA, MD and NOVA it's one of the best choices in the winter. It's close, the jumps are the proper height, well decorated and the courses are much better than in the past. The footing is lovely (if they keep it raked), there is decent warm up area, places to lunge and the stalls are huge and warm.

My barn is 40 mins away so we really can't help but go back. I try to keep a really positive outlook when I go there and at the very least we have a good time around the fire!! :one:

Frisbee32 - Ask Silverbells to tell you the story about how he set himself on fire at Duncraven years ago and was wandering around for about 30 seconds wondering what was on fire. It was him! He was fine and we all got a good laugh.

Congrats to all that went. I give you guys credit for showing when it is this cold.
