DH and one of the Young Ladies from the barn, have been secretly working on one of our smaller "Elder Lady sized Warmblood Fillies." For my Xmas Present  had started this lovely Filly in the Carriage for me.
Meet Rhapsody (Warmblood Filly by Rasputen )

Rhapsody, is going like a real Pro already in the Training Jogger, and fits my good Harness, that has been wall decoration duty for the past 2 years. <3 Hopefully the Driving Shows, and the Stallions Showing will not conflict, so we can take her out and about for a few Beginner Classes. :luck:

:one: Thanks to DH and Elizabeth.... :cloud9: ....I may again get to play with my Friends! :cheer:

CanadianStarz, Rhapsody is a beautiful young lady and what a nice Christmas surprise for you to have her started in harness. Hey, tell us about the "training jogger" (any pics?).

Took a few of her going this morning with the Grandbabies camera. Not sure how they will turn out though, as it was dark in the arena for photos, and snowing and blowing outside. But Rhapsody was chugging around like a little Pro, with bells attached both sides of the harness. Liz hitched and unhitched the filly herself, with no outside assistance, and has her backing and turning each way from a standstill with voice commands and a slight prompt with a touch from the whip. There were also 2 other Warmblood Mares being worked under saddle in the ring alongside the Filly. :one: :cheer: She's lookin GOOD!! :) Guess I had better unpack the good Harness, and get it ready for Spring!
The Jogger, is a nice little vehicle built by Tillsonburg Race Carts. I had this one customed in Cob size, with a wider seat and a basket up front, rather than the one man seat etc. Sure is great though, when they are ready for the wooden wheel cart. (Much nicer to be able to view from up top, rather than looking around their butts!)

Was a mite dark inside, but here are a couple pics of Liz and Rhapsody giving me my Christmas Preview, that were taken by my Grandbaby. :) Did a side profile to show you the little Jogger we use for the first few months when working with the Equine Babies. Next step, "when we feel she is ready", will be into the Meadowbrooke, with the larger wooden wheels, and more weight. The first year of Driving, the Meadowbrooke will be her main Vehicle.
