Oh everyone's favorite game, hurry up and wait.
Still bored? I sat on my little yaklet today!!! Freakin FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *ahem ahem decorum returns*
So I got to ride her about.. oh.. two minutes b/c we were on solid ice, but I think she'll do just fine for an up and comer.
Can't wait till we can pop her in the arena and see what she does on actual solid ground.
And.. my camera had NO batteries so no photos. Bummer.

Good Gravey we missed you!!

ha i got to leave early! Hopeful hunters is a gift from heaven :P

I do think I saw EEM standing by the ingate with a watchful eye while gene went (PS Gene is adorable. I sort of really love him. He looks so fun and so happy to do his job. And he's ADORABLE haha.)

My pony was about a million times better than the last show. he trucked right around and jumped the crap out of the little jumps. I was so proud of him. Trainer got to ride him o/f (i now know what it's like to be a nervous mother standing by the ingate squealing with glee when my pony jumps well haha). Of course when i hacked him we were a bit off to the races haha. I think we are going back next friday for what should hopefully be my jumping-at-a-show debut with the new horse. Then it's 10 weeks of hacking, growing up, and playing like a baby in georgia!

I did find out though, that he has never seen a horse lunge before and it scares the life out of him. and makes him snort. and prance. and want to kill me. even when it's 100 yards away! When little pony gets over his early show morning nerves (ie other horses are not our favorites) i think he's going to be a star!

RH-you know me :) I have Lion, the recently retired trail horse extraordinaire.

Silly, we were done waiting yesterday! It was a much better day riding wise and waiting wise for JM and me. We'd left PA and Atti was snug in his bed in Upperville and I was back home by 4, after doing some shopping in Middleburg.

Yeah, there's no way you can still be waiting! Keep us informed!

We finished about 7:00 last night and today was much better. I was back in MD by noon and home in bed for a nap by about 1:30. :one: :one:

RHowell was a star and I was much better. I'm feeling that I'll have him figured out by Lexington. It usually takes me a few shows to know what I'm doing. I'm a star in the schooling area though!!

Best of luck to JLoh tomorrow and we'll be back there next week....waiting.
We'll keep you posted from ring side around the fire because god knows we'll need something to do! :psycho:

Thanks for the congrats, RH. Back at ya, Atti loked great in the classes I caught yesterday. Guess traveling to PA may be on your calender more this winter, huh! I was happy to be home by 7, The kid & horse travelled with the trainer so I got to come at a leisurely hour and leave when they were done, liking this kind of"horse show Mom" stuff. Good luck to all today, hope the weather holds out.

Where are the results? Bev was sooo happy they were on-line, but thought she said HSS, not there.

Congrats everyone!! I thought I was sitting out this winter, but it looks like I might do some showing. My boy was reserve in the pre-children's at Worcester Stables/Our Farm yesterday with a 14-yo from the barn. Her horse is on stall rest for the foreseeable future. It was great fun watching him go since I'm the only one who usually shows him.

Bonus for me is that her parents are eager to have her do the Children's on him (Ms. Trainer had her stick to 2'6" yesterday for her first time out on him). So, we are going to come up with a show schedule so we can both show him in the Children's and Adults. I feel like I picked up some adoptive horse show parents :one: since they'll trailer him and pick up the cost of getting him to the shows. It's a whole lot easier to justify the cost of showing when you're only paying entry fees .

Of course, the good news/bad news would be that he sells. Someone is coming to see him this week. What am I thinking making plans? :psycho:

Hmm, anyone doing the PSJ in Feb at Canterbury? I think it will be the best venue for my green horse and then going to the last week of HITS Ocala afterwards. It will be her first show and was a perfect formula for my greens last year!

We'll see you at Swan Lake in Jan. The first day of the A/Os is my birthday so stop by for some adult beverages after we show.....or maybe before! :P

Do I hear the rumblings of a TOC get-together??!!! But it would have to be Sat afternoon if I were attend, unfortunately. If'n we're talking about the Saturday, that is.

I'll be at SLS Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My mother surprised us with a trip to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, which scratched last Sunday's plans- but it turned out to be a good thing because evidently Shelby French filled in as judge, and she's my trainer at school!
