Bummer. Sounds like I'm going to miss all you guys at the first Swan Lake. :lonely: I'd really prefer that over the Barracks, but I've got a house full of family until Jan. 2. Don't think I'll have enough riding time over the next week to make showing there worthwhile.

That's too bad I'd really like to meet you and who knows you might ride more in the next week than you thought ;) . If my family came for a week I'd be at the barn a lot.

Gene is making his debut at Swan Lake next week, I'm so freakin' excited I can't stand it!!! :psycho:

I had another great lesson today. Well, Gene had a good lesson, me not so much but it's coming together. It's so nice to ride one who just plugs along miss after miss and doesn't get frazzled!!!

I'm doing December SLS, January SLS, possibly Lex in January (although I think hubby's national sales meeting is that week so it may not be doable) since we missed Country Hill, then Swan Lake in Feb along with Lex before the fabulous trainer heads off to WEF.

But most importantly, what are Ella's show plans :teehee:

Who is driving a hore drawn sleigh through the snow :teehee:

    I would like to see a "hore" drawn sleigh! Would make for an interesting sight! :P

I am staying in the land of frozen tundra (my trainer is already in Florida-just had a decent showing at the National). I am not a huge fan of the state of Florida-the bugs are BIG-(I have ventured to WEF in the past), so I am quite content to take the winter off with my Phatboy and nest. Bring on the hot chocolate and cookies! :P I will probably regret my decision come February after 20 feet of snow and ice and temps that do not exceed 10 degrees. :shoot:

Good luck to all wherever you are showing. :)

Well, the nice thing about staying home is that you don't HAVE to head out in the cold if you don't want to. I try to spend as much time working remotely under blankets these days as possible!

I did my first winter show at Halcyon on December 1. Last weekend we did a clinic with John Roper. We might go to an occasional show depending on the weather. After the first of the year, work will be really busy, so it'll be ok if we don't show until spring.

If I can find a pony for leadline, I'm sure she would love to show. However, a 3 year old iand very cold weather sometimes don't mix. If I didn't have new horse, I would have no desire to show in the cold. Halycon and Heritage are like 5 minutes or so from my house so if I can line something up and the weather isn't too teribbly bad, she will show.

We are ( :luck: ) planning on Devon this year.

LOL. If it was MY family, no question I'd be at the barn every freakin' minute I could! But it's Mr. Delia's family who will be with us, and I adore them. If the Barracks isn't a disaster, I might see you at the second Swan Lake.

Anyway, good luck to all!

Nothing beats a down comforter and a featherbed....with 2 Jacks to snuggle up with! :) :) Oh, can't forget the 2-legged version... <_<
