My horse is allergic to neoprene, but I want hard boots for the marathon since he wears studs. Is there something like that with sheepskin or fleece? |

Look in to the NEW boots. Equestriancollections.com sells them. I use them for turnout and LOVE them. |

Lots of eventers use leather galloping boots, sometimes lined with sheepskin, preferably with buckles rather than velcro so they stay on through water. Here's a fancy example:![]() (http://www.somersetsaddlery.com/pages/horseboots.htm) If you want some serious protection, you can always do the Porter boot + Saratoga bandage combo: ![]() http://www.bitofbritain.com/ProductDetails...roductCode=0036 |

I just bought the T-Boot EXPs. The liners are not neoprene but rather some other sort of soft material which the memory foam is inside. Those liners pull out and are machine washable. I really, really like them. |

I really like the ThinLine boots. They mold to the horses legs, won't absorb water so they stay light and wont shift or rub if you are working in wet conditions or crossing water. They come all sorts of ways, open front, closed front and are machine washable. Horses who react to neoprene do really well in these boots. I think it is because the ThinLine ventilates and so the horses leg stays cooler. They also have a sport medicine boot. They are the most durable boot I have used and they actually kill rain rot on the horses leg. (I use the bell boot for turn out because it keeps his coronary band really healthy. You can see them at ThinLine Saddle Pads and Tack |

RHowell, I'm glad that EquestrianCollections.com is owned by nice people; perhaps you could suggest, since you are close to them, that they up their customer service? Three times of ordering a product only to have them inform me two weeks after the fact that they were out of it has lost them a customer who was ordering some pretty expensive equipment.
The boots that Circuspony posted are made by FTE, and they are leather-lined. I have an open-front version of that boot for Tip and I love them. Here they are, a little more oiled up (but they could go darker): ![]() They are really good boots for a not-very-high price. Sheepskin and fleece tend to pick up burrs and schmutz on cross-country; you may want to look at really good leather-lined boots. |

Here's my suggestion: Bit of Britain has boots by Nunn Finer made just for this situation. They are called Superior Brushing Boots. They are neoprene free with double velcro closure, faux hide exterior, PVC striking pad HD polymer foam interior and fleece lining. Sounds like what you're looking for. They are look alikes to the woof boots as far as style and coverage. Cost is 69.95/pair. Here's the website www.bitofbritain.com I've ordered from them a bunch, very helpful people. |

I am also a fan of thinline boots and girths for neoprene sensitive horses. |
