So I finally got the mare I have been after for 3 years now. I was made an offer I couldn't refuse  I'm on cloud nine, needless to say. Anyways, I'm writing to find a pony stallion for her. I was looking into breeding her to a WB, but after 5 years of trying to find a pony stud colt that could match what I'm looking for, I thought why not breed my own, now that I have the mare to.

She is a 16 hand Thoroughbred mare who has foaled out some outstanding looking colts who have done quite well on the track, and a few I would love to take to the dressage ring! :P My mare is a Drum Fire and Buckpasser granddaughter. There is nothing that I want to improve on her, so I would like to breed her to a stallion with movement and can pass on the mare's qualities. I won't go any taller then 13 hands with her.

Thanks!

sixpoundfarm - Me too :) Seen him every year he has shown and it has been fun to watch him go. He sired a colt this year that was simply outstanding!

virginiabred - Another one I'm looking at :) I loved the colt that you posted on the classifieds sired by him. Has he thrown grey a lot? How are old are his oldest foals? - Asking this because I'm wondering how about height.

Thanks! Keep them coming!

I love Foxtrot!!!

I also love Twyford Cadog.

I have two young ponies by the stallion Twyford Cadog and they are exceptional individuals. Both are great movers and jumpers and have wonderful temperments. He himself is as calm and sweet as any pony I ever met, even in the middle of breeding season, my daughter was able to handle him without any trouble at all.

I have seen a number of his younger get who are just fabulous and should make up to really be something. He isn't that widely known, but he should start making a name for himself now that Cheryl Francella has him. She's a very well known breeder of TBs and now ponies and shows them in hand and wins at the biggest hunter shows. Here's her contact info Cheryl Francella (610) 273-9826, Windrush Farms.

I have a TB mare in foal to him right now, due the end of May.

Twyford Cadog is a great mover with a warmblood type of build. He's an 11.2 hand secton A imported from Wales. He was the Welsh Society's Reserve National Champion stallion a few years ago.

Here's a pic of Twyford Cadog.
