just heard that a Sir Caletto baby, formerly "Sir Elton", now "Timeless", won the 2 y/o us. This baby was bred by Jamie Barkau and has been on my drool list for years

Congratulations to Jamie, the new owner and Barb Gualco!!

Didn't get excited for the trot clip but I would sell a kidney for how he jumps in the videos. Does anyone know more about his movement? That wasn't a very demonstrative clip--he might move with less knee than what that short clip showed. Obviously his babies move well. Would like to know more as I'm breeding my mare next year.

ETA--not trying to be critical i just want to know more! <3

I don't think he is going to win a hack.. but his jump is super.

If the mare moves good enough I really would not worry that much about it. It really seems that movement more often then not follows the mechanics of the dam's movement.

Some of those babies move well enough for me. Check out the video of Sir Caletto's Grace (2004). I wouldn't turn her down for a second.

We have a Sir Caletto filly in the barn right now who moves very well. And justbay is correct, the winner was exceptional. While Spider and Hillary were warming up, she called me over, pointed him out and said "That is the one to beat, no question."

I saw a sales clip for a 3 year old Sir Caletto that is pretty local to me. The U/S video really didn't do anything for me. He looked quiet enough, even does his changes, and looks very well put together but since he's only 3 they didn't have any jumping footage other than a cross rail or two which it was not fair to judge him on that. Now, before I get yelled at I was NOT expecting to see him go around a course at 3. That was just my observation.

He's a gorgeous stallion with a jump to do for but if you are breeding to enhance movement I think I'd shop elsewhere. If you are breeding to enhance jump rather than movement then he is definitely worth taking a close look at. JMHO.
