I can get the yearling over that way and the chestnut but the stinking Palomino is too smart.. she knows that is what I want so she will toy with me like she is going to do it and then runs aways bucking (and laughing!) |

All the horses are super... Somerset has been a perfect angel, as always. And a pig in the stall, as always. Monday they power washed the tack room, so we had to put our tack trunks in the aisle. Somerset made sure to chew his grain, take a big drink of water, and then spew some grain soup all over my saddle and tack trunk. Somerset is starting to do flying changes with Kristin. I tried schooling it once and he just kept giving me super-lightning-fast-one-step simple changes. That animal is too smart for his own good. I need to learn to ride him a little bit more packaged, I'm working on it. I think we're going to show again the 2nd weekend in October. Stoney is finally fit and back in work after the abscess-from-h*ll. Last night he was ridden on my someone who is just coming back after a broken foot. He carted her around like nobody business and was a very good boy. I rode him over some "cross country" logs over the weekend and he was fiesty and excited. I am curious to see whether Shane "remembers" Stoney and suctions on to him like they were before they were split up. I *thought* Shane was really attached, but as soon as he got to Double S it was like he forgot all about Stoney. I am curious to see if they remember each other and are as attached as before. |

My good news: There was an event at my school over the weekend, and the stadium course is still set out in the field since the field didn't get too torn up. So in my lesson today my trainer took me to jump out there. I was really, really nervous because I don't have much confidence, and my horse wasn't too great yesterday, but Luna was amazing and I had such a good lesson. And I found out that I got voted senior team captain of my IEA team at school. I totally wasn't expecting it and now one of my friends is calling me 'Captain' whenever she sees me. |

OK I was half gagging half LAughing with the Potty thread! Good news... its still nice weather here and our garage is half way done, just need doors windows and siding and wireing. After 9 years I will not have to clean cars off this winter! Wooooo hooo!!! Oh and since Hubby came back from his vacation in Germany, he has been ALOT nicer. Even when discussing plans about the driverway, landscaping etc. ITs amazing. Hope it lasts!

It's amazing how much importance we give potty stuff, but considering we have to brave public restrooms on a regular basis, it's no wonder.. Sorry Rachel for the grossness, I guess it's just part of life sometimes. At least we can laugh at it. How about talking about people's farm's drying up to a crisp. It is so hard and dry at Blue Ridge, I can't believe it. It looks like a desert. Everything is so crispy. A lady at my barn fell off in our front field and had a very bad break to her leg, due partially to this super hard ground. Not fun. |

Yes well I couldn't even get past the first page of the bathroom thread... especially since yesterday I was cleaning our main bathroom and that thread was just TMI!
Let's see... good news... my DD had a good riding lesson last evening, well I didn't see it because I had to take the baby somewhere else, but her instructor said she worked DD hard! Um, I got the kitchen floor mopped today.
Believe me that is harder than it looks to find time to do a good job on that. Of course it is partly dirty again. Bad news... I had to go to the dentist today and get 2 cavities filled, right next to each other. My mouth is SORE. But I just took 4 Advil so that should change soon.Yes, I know, my life is boring right now. Congrats Sannois on *almost* having a garage!! You will love it this winter!!

Awesome news for you! Congrats! What school do you go to? You are so lucky that they have horsey stuff there. Here at UT-Austin nobody does horsey activities. They have a club but I can't ever get in touch with any of the members. Sucks. |

I got a super-cute Volvo S40! It's grey, with black leather interior, seat heaters (swoon!) and tiptronic, which is their clutchless manual. I lOOOOOOOOOve my car! And, I usually hate car shopping, but I went to Don Beyer Volvo in Alexandria (for all you NoVa folks) and they were AWESOME! No pressure, just helpful and informative. I even had Sascha Bumpkin with me the whole time and our sales rep got her water and let her come for the test drive.
