minty I lost my dear friend a short 2 yrs ago - to a brain anurysm - it was so quick, we had so many plans ...and the hurt will creap up on you out of now where..... There are so many days that my thoughts go "Oh I can't wait to call Rayna and tell her...." And then it slams you in the heart. What I do is call her mother, who is hurting still as I am. It never, ever hurts less - but it does hurt less often. And the good memories will be there for you , one after another. And you will laugh again. At first that will hurt and you will feel guilt, but your dear friend is right there, laughing with you. I talk to Rayna all the time now, and imagine her with me. I tried to honor her as my maid of honor at my party: ![]() Hold the memories of love and laughter close to you and share them with his mom. Even things you think of as mundane - she will appreciate it. To you Minty. I know exactly how you feel. |

Oh Minty.
I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. I lost my mostest dearest MIL two years ago to cancer. I still miss her everyday and my daughter still sleeps with her robe at night (it was her Oma). Cherish the good thoughts and celebrate his life and your friendship often. They will see you through and keep him alive in your heart. ***JINGLES*** to you and to his family from afar. |

I'm so very sorry for your loss. At least while he left unexpectedly, it sounds like it was peaceful, free of suffering and full of love. In the end, I think that's all that really matters. ![]() Please remember always the good times you had. I'm sure his spirit will be with all of his loved ones... |

I am so, so sorry. Cancer is a Bitch! I lost one of my best friends to cancer 10 years ago and I still miss her all the time. It gets easier, but I still have days where something funny happens and I think, "I should call Judy. She'd get a kick out of this." Sucks when I remember that I can't. Please know you and your friend are in our thoughts. Take good care of his mom. She must be overwhelmed. |

Oh my god, guys, you're making me cry. *hugs* to Minty. I know with adult stem cell/bone marrow, its a long, hard road. My grandma had it and nearly died from three infections at once(she is in remission with Lymphoma)...so I know how hard and dangerous that treatment is. |
