Megatransect hike

Don't know if anyone here is a hiker, but this is a beautiful trail, nearly 25 miles in length that they open once a year for this race. There is another in the spring, but in a different location.

I've ridden some of these trails on horseback, (can't hike anymore, knees) and it is beautiful. I don't think the leaves will be turned by then, but it will still be worth doing.

If anyone goes, let me know what you think of it. :)

:P Yes, definately a hike, not a walk! Last year they had a kid around 8 complete it, as well as a man in his 70s. I rode down there yesterday, they have it all marked for the weekend. Most of the trails are old logging roads, with a few steep sections, and one boulder field thruout. The leaves are just starting to turn, so their should be plenty of shade if its hot.

They have one in the spring at a different location that is supposed to be a bit 'easier'. But I've not ridden that area, so I can't say for sure!

Wow, that looks like an awesome hike. I don't know if I could do it all in a day, though! Maybe if I start training now for next year...
