Let us hope Hitlery doesnt win because she wil be worse than her husband she is already planning it just go read her web site an her myspace page. and I am sure more defense cuts intel cuts. And lets us not forget breaking international law if she does indeed bring home our trops from Iraq. ( go and red the Geneva convention all 5 of them for that one).

But historically a Dem will win this upcomming election. So we can only hope it is not Hitlery.

Don't you know, La Gringa, Dubya and Co. want to bring freedom! Freedom for his rich oil buddies and Halliburton buddies to rob the middle class and give to themselves.

I'm not sure which is worse. The travesty Dubya and Co. have shoved down our throats, or a Congress that's rolled over dead and doing nothing about it.

I saw a very funny/sad debate a couple weeks ago between an arch conservative and arch liberal. Both of them demanding that Dubya and Cheney be impeached. The competition seemed to be over who could come up with the longest list of worst impeachable offenses.

Every illegal offense, and there was a slew of them, was far, far worse than lying to congress about a blow job, which face it, any man would lie about to protect himself from his wife and public humiliation. It's not like that killed anybody. Unlike Dubya's lies that tricked (some of) us into this illegal, perpetual war with hundreds of thousands of deaths and ultimately trillions of dollars pissed away. And have ended democracy in this country.

Hillary is in no way comparable to Hitler. That in itself discredits you.

To even compare her with such a monster is wrong.

Hitler exterminated millions. Hillary is not evil like that. Sure she's a woman, and a very opinionated one.. but she's not a murderer.

I do think she's an Imperialist and will take over things when she's president, but comparing her to a Nazi war lord is not right. :mallet:

One insteresting point... it's kind of a scary time for women in politics. If Hillary does win, and does mess up royally, it could mean another woman would never be President again. The weight of the world is on her shoulders, and I do respect her for her bravery. With Hillary and Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, it's definetly an interesting time for women in politics.

On the free speech thing, I agree fully with Cindeye, our rights are being taken away bit by bit.

Freedom of Speech is the First Amendment to our Constitution, it's a vital right we have in this country that stands us out from the rest. They can't take it away, we can't let them. It's an American right, and good ole boy Bush is really doing a number on it. Damn him.

I call em as I see em not PC from my fingers of mouth I see Hiltery and her dh slick as bad as Hilter was in their own way. You want to talke about loosing freedom of speech take a look at how people way of speaking changed while they were sitting in the oval office.. an how if you called just an example a black person a black instead of an African american or if you called a person who is retarded Retarded instead of what ever the PC lable is honestly can not remeber it because I do my best not to be PC. And instead of problems people not have "issues' And if you call a bad person dosent matter white or black a ni***r people get all up in arms nd say "how can you even say that word?" Talk about infringing on freedom of speach they did a whole heck of a lot worse. BTW Issues comes in editions and volumes and is usually bound in some way.

It was like there was an approved list of approate words they could and could not say in public and to use 'inapproate words' in public could depending on which 'inapproate word' it was could be concidered a 'hate or racial crime' You have to go further than current to find infringed freedom of speach that people were actually walking on egg shells. So yes she is approatly called Hiltery as she and her dh imposed what words could be used and while her version of the SS did not come and take people away in the middle of the night Im sure if her dh could have stayed in office a few more terms it might have been a thought... And as I recall he was at one time for a very short time(perhaps 1 or 2 weeks short) was looking to see if there was a loop hole in that law to see if her could run again...

She wishes to impose upon us social programs that are not needed instead of reforming the ones already in place. Now granted her dh did his best and fighting his party line to do so to reform them and was able to attempt some fixes but in the end they became bandaids on a broken leg. Remember hillary care cradle to grave health? Or her wonderful " it takes a village" neither are true or correct.

As for Nancy Polosi what I do know about her is vey little cept that she is not accomplishing much as speaker and apparently the Dems who put her in the position are not to happy with her at this moment. but that will probably change once a Dem gts in the white house. You will notice I keep saying when not if as I have no doubts that one will this time around as history has it merits and there have been few exceptions in the voting history of this country. Should history hold a Dem will be put in the white house and should only hold for 4 years followed by 8 rep. followed by 4 dem and so on and so forth. But sometimes history has a hick up the ones I can recall that have not held to history are FDR, Kenedy, Regan followed by first Bush then Clinton. I am sure there are other hick up in history but I can not recall them as I am sure I did not pay much attention to that when I was in elementery and jr high school history.. So I have no doubts that a Dem will win the whit house it just depends on which one. My only hope is that is it not either Hiltary or Dennis the menace( I know lefties who are further left than you are who have said they wil leave the party if he gets the nod they lived through his screw ups in Cleveland from city councel member to his current post in congress and have yet to figure out how he has managed to stay where he is).

I have a question I am thinking that you believe that assuming she doesnt mess things up that she would do some good on what levels do you think she would? Which of course has the hidden question what do you think the govt owes you?

Hilary is a home grown Marxist God help this country if she becomes president. You can really kiss your freedoms goodbye if she does. Read what she is about, she makes no bones about it. she is very open about her plans. Will make your hair stand on end. :jaw:

Historically speaking, a Democrat will win the White House this time around. It's been that way for ages.

What I don't like is the tearing down of any President of the USA. It weakens our core as a Country, and we are looking that way more and more, over the generations (the dumbing down of America, part 27). The President is the President. Support them as the leader of YOUR country until you can change it.

The United States of America needs put it's big boy & girl panties on and make opinions with their votes, not their mouths.

These are actual pearls from several speeches she has made over the years, I have heard her say some of them.

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY! AND REMEMBER IT!

(1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

(2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few...... And to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."

(3) "(We) ....can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

(4) "We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground."

(5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."

(6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched."

Now you might think these were the famous words of the Father of communism, Karl Marx............and you would be on the right track in thinking so.....but you would be wrong......These pearls of socialist/Marxist wisdom are from non other than our very own, home-grown Marxist.........

Hillary Clinton!........

I support our country but I don't support Bush. I agree Virginiabred, with what you said, but I just can't support this administration.

I don't support Hillary either.

I don't konw who I am going to vote for.

That's interesting Sannois. I hadn't heard those comments before. I don't think she's the right person for the job. I do think though that she doesn't seem to have much competition. Who else would you pick?

Sorry, Sannois, but none of those quotes scare me. Perhaps in context they would, but out of context I don't see anything scary there at all.

We *do* have government of the few, by the few, for the few. A small group of "elites" who rule to enhance their own power and wealth. To whit, the current administration, with a perpetual war shoved down our throats that brings perpetual profits to oil and Halliburton. And an energy plan written by the oil industry.

And the free market system, unbridled, does not work. Unless you consider depression era economies, with masses homeless and starving people, a good thing.

However, Hillary's health care plan, obviously bought, paid for and written by the insurance industry, does scare me. At least up until now I had the choice to not buy health insurance, since 20+ years ago they made it clear the top HMO in Mass left me to buy health care cash or die. Under Hillary's (and other) plans, I'll be forced to pay in advance for health care that I know I will never receive. The industry has made it clear to me by their practice that when push comes to shove, I'll be dumped off the raft. The best thing about the movie, Sicko, to me was it showed at that least I'm not alone there.

The insurance industry is the *cause* of the current health care crisis, not the cure for it. Putting those greedy pigs to the trough will be the end of health care for any but the wealthiest or a lucky token few who get the "disease du jour."

Believe it or not, there is a wide area between Dubya's imperialistic fascism and Hillary's supposed marxism. And there are a lot of democratic countries out there that are more successful than we are. That, of course, depends on how you measure success. If you measure it by GDP and obscene wealth for an elite few, then we're right up there. But if you measure it by a decent life for most, with low infant mortality, longer and healthier lives, a more educated population, then a number of our allies have beaten us hands down.

As far as putting the "big girl panties" on, shutting up and taking it, well, that's just plain UnAmerican. Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot. Under Dubya, we've lost freedom of political speech, which used to be what freedom of speech was all about.

Expressing our opinion is the maximum exericise of democracy. It's what it's all about.

And there's nothing that says you can't express your opinion verbally, in writing AND by voting. As it happens, I've never missed an election. Rarely been on the winning side, but have yet to miss one.

But I'm with La Gringa here, too. I'm not happy at this point about any of the candidates. And I'm tired of voting for the lesser evil.

Me Too!! That is exactly how we end up with Presidents who throw this country into Turmoil. The sane, intelligent, well spoken people aren't crazy enough to run! That plus the fact it takes Mega $$ to even get within waving distance...

VirginiaBred- I agree totally with what you said so well. While I agree we should debate the issues, and try to find solutions, personal attacks on the President of the United States (no matter who he/she is) just brings this Country down even further. :sigh:
