I got my xrays done yesterday....and the bone is mostly healed. I went to another orthopedic, because I was so displeased with the first one. He was really nice. The other doctor made my usual doctor's office nerves worse, but this guy just took it away in an instant. I get to ride again next week. My trainer will be calling me to set up a lesson...I actually saw her tonight at the world cup qualifier. I won't be allowed to jump for another like four weeks, but that's cool...I just don't want to lose my legs. The bone will be a little crooked, in part because of the ER doc's error, but compared to the way the one doctor was talking...I'm okay with it. |

That's fantastic! Take it easy; take it slow. Your legs will come back. You don't want to re-injure

Thanks guys. There was only pain in my actual collarbone for the first like, week? Maybe less? The pain after that was from the brace, and that was on both sides. I'm still pretty tight, but I feel better than I did with the brace on. |

My lesson went well. I have like no endurence left, though. I had forgotten how badly you lose everything with an injury (I should have remembered, I came back to figure skating from 2 broken ankles and a back injury). I do feel like I was better at the end of the lesson, and I did successfully canter, which supprised me a little after how stiff and all I felt at the beginning. |

I do singles...
They were on two diffrent occasions. But, both the same bone (on the right the first time, and then on the left 3 years later). Maybe there was a weak point in my bones there? The second one, the cast was bothering my messed up back, and I ripped it off. I was doing full run throughs of my program the day it was supposted to be off. I find it ironic that this is the only time I've followed doctor's orders (for the back I didn't even go in for 2.5 years) and it's been the most complications...hmmm.
