I was wondering what people think about lop ears. Zuni's ears are a little bit relaxed, not lop, but she does hold them at a 45 degree angle when she's relaxed.

I personally love lop ears. There's a discussion on Coth about this but I thought I would put it here as well.

Lexie's ears bounce at the canter but they aren't bouncy at other times. I think Zuni has inherited this slightly. She can prick them up and they definetely aren't at 90 degrees..

I find them adorable.

I read the lop ear thread. I've seen horses that have true lop ears to the point that in hack classes they flop. I don't like that. I think a hunter (I am a hunter) should look alert and interested in what they are doing. Expression is important. that being said, I love! love! love! relaxed soft ears. My pony's ears are always pricked forward....she listens and moves them around fast...back to pricked, never relaxed. My TB filly is like yours LaGringa. Relaxed. She is the most laid-back, nothing bothers her filly, I've ever seen. Her ears are forward and she's interested and alert, but once she's done the look around, she's cool about it and just relaxes. I love that.

Your filly is so cute!!!!
