So I get my last (I mean it this time!) dollar horse yesterday. Looking at her feet I can see they are in need of a farrier who knows what they are doing. Then I pick up the RF foot.... HOLY COW!!!! This is what I saw: :censored:

I then kind of make a face and ask the person I got this horse from when the horse was shod.... 2 WEEKS AGO! Look at the back feet! Have you ever seen hooves look like, 2 weeks after a trim?? :soapbox:

And I find out the farrier has been doing this horse for 2 years....

Thank God my farrier comes tomorrow! :one:

If you PM me, I'll gladly share the farrier's name. The horse has been lame on the RF for a while now... and the owner was just done with the horse. I tried to get her to switch farriers, but she swore her farrier was great.....

Yeah, great at messing things up!!!

If there's one thing LBB and her farrier can do it's get this horse back together!!!!!!

And, LBB, I will try my hardest to keep you out of the dollar store!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a tough job, but I think I can do it! :psycho: :psycho:

This picture makes it look like these feet/legs belong to two different horses. No wonder this girl is lame on the RF! Look at that angle (or lack thereof)!!

Holy hell indeed! Her RF looks a little clubby, but what that farrier did is an abomination. Those pictures made me want to throw up a little bit.

When the lady got the horse 2 years ago... the RF foot was the one with very little heel and the LF had a lot of heel. Now, in all his wisdom, the farrier changed that to the opposite sides.... instead of correcting the problem.

I almost can't wait for my farrier to come out tomorrow morning.... I know he's gonna hit the roof!! I always get tons of compliments on my farrier's work, too. I was at Piedmont with Barbie and 2 of the vets inquired about who I used. :one: I think the horse's feet are in great hands now!

I am very sorry for this poor horse. She really must have suffered if the shoeing has been like that for years. I am glad she's with you now!

I think my 3.5 year old son could tell you that is one f*ed up shoe job! :( I can't believe the woman had the nerve to defend it. I'd love to see pics of the horse, too. Thank heavens you found her.
