This is probably a longshot, but I'm in a bind, and can't justify keeping this horse any longer.

"Rocco" is a gorgeous, 17 year old blood bay OTTB Gelding. His pedigree is http://www.pedigreequery.com/strelka2. He is 16.2, big-bodied, and healthy but for a bone spur in his right hock that does cause him some pain - he is only sound for light riding, no collection and no jumping whatsoever.

Rocco is my underdog, quiet on the ground but has never had much of a "home life", which is the main reason I have kept him as long as I have (3.5 years). He has never been suitable for my needs, and quite honestly buying him was a mistake, but he is a nice guy who deserves a Mommy. Very quiet on the ground, with excellent manners, he is a great companion horse that has gotten along with everyone he has ever been turned out with, mares and babies included.
I have recently had a major car accident that has forced my hand financially. I need to buy a car to replace the one that has just been totaled, and I need to reevaluate my finances to put me in a better position personally. If I had my own barn, I could give this horse a forever home, but I don't, and he deserves more attention than I can give him.

Thanks for looking,
Ride'em.

This is 3 years ago, before his arthritis put him on the bench for good.
