So lego has helpfully hurt his LF. I am not sure how and I think the swelling ought to go down after poulticing a couple days, but it takes one talented horse to balloon up a leg while on stall rest. <_<

Sorry to hear about Lego! Glad he came through surgery well and hopefully he'll mend quickly and fully!!

How long is his stall rest? I've got one on absolute stall rest for 8 weeks.. then will see vet and probably have at least 8 more weeks. I hear you about the drug comment.... I have my guy on 2 different ones and he's still double-barreling the wall! I told the vet's office that if someone else brings him in for his 8 week exam it is because I'm in rehab. It's times like these I wish I boarded my horses!!!! :shoot:

When do they think he'll be back to the work and the show ring??

Hang in there....!!

If he is being bad in the stall, the reserpine pills seem to work. They last for a while, you can grind them in the feed, and most horses react well. Thankfully, I only have a month on stall rest, then he can hang in a paddock for two.
