Need suggestions or where to find. We have this pony who is super talented (at least for the level she shows at) but is down hill a little, her head is too big, and she is a little forward which Im chalking up to the being down hill. Ive been working with her to get her to slow down, but as soon as she goes round, there is no keeping her slow. Shes not taking off, but she is going much faster then she should. (especially since she is a kids pony, well, kind of) If the head is up and her back is straight, not round, then she is a lot slower. She also leans on a regular snaffle, so Ive been riding her in a french link and she is great. However, Im 5'7", pony is 13.2 and I can carry her head around without a problem. Kid that is riding her in green, while being a great rider, just isnt as strong as me so pony and kid are kind of doing their green courses at warp pony speed. So I stuck a pelham on her the other day and it did wonders to lift up the front end, but she laid on the bit so much because it was just a plain snaffle mouthpiece. So... I either need a pony size french link pelham, (under $50) ideas on any other bits to try, or some ideas on how to fix this. Pony is 6 and isnt going to grown out level.

The pelham I had her in was a rubber mouth and she just laid on it horribly. But it was much easier to keep her round with the added leverage.

try a corkscrew dee, or a broken segunda, or a ported bit. ported bits lift and don't need a lot of hand.
