I'm trying to figure out if my yearling is nice or not!!!!! I think he's special, but there is that awkward phase when the head is BIG and the knees are HUGE and there are RIBS and ANGLES everywhere you look! I am keeping him a little skinny to ease the OCD risk, etc... I need some comparison shots, please. I don't know how to post a picture, other wise I would, I swear!

He's Hanoverarian, if that helps....

Help me, please!

I'll post photos of mine as a Yak-ling youngster...only because I know what a aSwan she is now (albeit a HEAVY swan). I always take a photo in a "similar" stance around her birthday, so I've got a pretty good chronology of her growth.

She is 1/4 RID and 3/4 TB.

Please forgive our...naturalness... in some of our younger-aged photos. :P

In order: Ten months, 2 year, 3 years, 4years, and this past April at 5.

Wow Jill - that's really cool to see the changes. Weren't you the clever one to get her in the same pose each year.

She is a beauty for sure.

The pictures I take in the pasture always make my horses look like "dorks"..this was taken when Little Girl (2005 TB) was 1..it was her second show..and we decided she was more of the Hunter type..than Sport Horse type..she got 6 out of 6 in both shows that weekend..then this year...for some reason..in my area they have stopped having the "hunter breeding" classes...so I will have to wait until next year I guess??!?!?! :(

My other yearling knicked his tendon sheath right after this show, and so I don't really have any of him at 1ish..sorry....I do need to take some more of him soon...

"Oh NO, I just did my HOOVES!?!?!"

Can you say...Butt High????

I'll find some of my gelding. He would be better to compare..he's an Oldenburg. I'll check his growth chart and get his height and weight..I do have that.. :) ...HH

It is my humble opinion that most yearlings should be hidden away, far from view of the general public :innocent: ;)

NZ don't be silly! All your youngsters are very nice... They ALL have a "kind eye".

I just pulled her mane today and trimmed her up, but had noone around to hold miss Garnet, so here is a picture of her (still fuzzy) from six weeks ago. (will get more tomorrow)

HH, that's not the full sister to Faux Finish is it? If not, it sure looks like her.

I KNEW you ladies could spy Chai Latte  ...Yes, it's her..I call her Little Girl..

Thanks Clearound...she has the most feminine face around...that's one of the only

positive comments the judges had to say at that Sport Horse Breeding show.. :)

Your DUKE is stunning..he's gonna turn LOTS of heads!?!?!?! :one:

..She is a very sweet looking horse.. not a "super star/super model" like her sister..

We are going to "ride her sister's coat tails" and her brother's as well...

..as we have no breeding shows in this area this year..now there

are 2 in the Fall...we will be hopefully attending..but other than that..maybe a

family type show I can find would be nice as well..

She has "Greasy Heel" right now, and it's driving us both crazy :psycho: She tippy toes thru the mud bless her heart..but it is drying up and she will be back to her goofy self soon..

Thanks for the kind words everybody..HH :)
