I am trying to find an ear net for my boy. It needs to be pony-sized, because he has cute li'l pony ears and a horse-sized ear net makes him look like a donkey. This is complicated because I am looking for one that is green, with gold trim, and no tassels because he would spend the entire ride trying to find a way to get them into his mouth. Does anyone make these standard, or do I need to go custom?

Hmmmm - I think Beval used to carry pony sized. I have one that I could send for Tip but it has the offending tassels, though it is green.

It is not so much that the tassels are offensive, as it is that Tip tries to eat everything that hits his face. Try riding him under low-hanging branches. The leaves very quickly disappear.

I will definitely check out Beval- I don't know why I didn't think of that before! I went straight for the pony tack sites.

The ears on this one aren't huge (they look huge in the photo). In fact I'd say they were really on the small side. It fits snug over my horse's average-to-small ears. Uh... I suppose I could measure it for you??

If you wouldn't mind measuring, that would be great. My boy has the cutest li'l pony ears!

6 1/2 inches!!!

From the very bottom of the earpiece to the very tip, while laying flat. It will be shorter when on the ear, since it will fill up three-dimensionally. And they have green with gold. And on sale! They're nice earnets, too. Not total top-end (I'm thinking of the $85 ones that are pretty nice) but def not cheap-o's either.

I will take a tape measure to Tip's ears tomorrow! I fully expect he will try to eat it. Thanks!
