It's been a little over a week now. Last Saturday horse was not getting lead changes (very unusual as this horse is overly automatic - he'd do tempis if you let him :teehee: ) the next day he could barely trot and the canter was not there at all after warming up ok then standing around for two hours at a show. We figured he'd pulled something because the muscle was tense and rock hard and very sore. Yesterday he can walk, trot and canter (felt much freer)but the lead changes are not there - got the front only one time then kicked out massively the second. He's obviously still not comfortable. So back to walking up and down the field for now. :shoot: I'm thinking I'll call the vet on Tuesday if it's still not ok (it's a long weekend here). I do have a physio coing out but she's hard to get ahold of...But how long would it take for a muscle to recover?
:sigh: Horse has neve been off before!

He's ok I think.... he started to do his changes again...although the first one was artistic the next one was fine. I think when he got his back shoes on he started to move differently with the hind - there's more action (can't think of the right word) and so he was using more power behind than he was used to so he started getting sore, then there was that hard work out on Saturday - and the fact we were on grass for the first time since the fall. That's all I can guess at - with BB of course anything is possible! ;) I managed to get a physio appointment on the 1st so hopefully she can shed some light. I won't start jumping again 'til Friday but other than that everything is back on track and the next show is Ashand and our debut in the Hopeless Jumpers. :shoot: :cheer:
I must remember to tell you something about this whole thing when I next email you..... :argh:
