Posted on TOBB, too, but has anyone heard of a fat blob coming into the syringe while vet is drawing blood?

Boo was having a routine Coggins done yesterday, and her blood was thin, so vet drew more. That's when the fat blob came out with more thin blood. Sample is being tested, but Doc had never seen anything like it.

He feels thin blood is anemia, fairly common in drafties, I guess, but the fat thingy is curious.

Anyone? Any ideas or thoughts on this?? :o

Well..... Vet reported that all blood work results were in normal range, including red blood cell counts. Only thing not tested for was reduced clotting factor, which he said would show small hemorages on her gums. Her gums were fine yesterday.

No mention of the fat glob.... He left a message, so I'll call him back in the AM.

Hummmmm

I HATE inconclusive results :argh: :brickwall:
