Figured I would add a few pictures of him for everyone to see. Pictures do him no justice. He is stunning in real life.

The saddle fits him!!! :one:

My boyfriend is very well trained. At the end of every test ride. I stand and he takes a few shots of the horse standing with me in the tack for "size comparison" purposes once I get home.

He was all ready for me to do that and was confused when I got off Somerset without standing for the pictures.

I was like "Joe, if I look too big on this one-- I'll have to start browsing ads for elephants instead of horses!"

Thanks for posting the additional pictures Suzie. I can't wait to get him home and take tons and tons, especially some with his little brother Stoney, who is just going to LOFF having a big chesnut bro to look up to...

Oh he is so sweet looking!

Girl, you must be floating around on cloud nine :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

I think he's the balls baby! :one: :cheer:  :one: :cheer:

Remember, no horse is perfect, if he's sound and has been sound that says alot. I think a review of the horse's health history (vet recs) tells a better story - but it's not usually provided.

My point is - If he's young, sound, and healthy, with a good mind and willing attitude - and YOU CLICKED - well, I think the deals done. So here, congrats! :rose:

I know someone who bought a 6yo gelding that the PPE vet (and radiographs) showed that the horse would not last up to even light riding. The horse was eventing prelim last year and is now 16yo. He has never had any joint or lameness issues.

How many of us would pass a PPE? :psycho: :o
I have a crooked leg, a gazillion scars, a metal plate and lots of screws in my ankle, and just an overall clumsy kind a girl. :innocent: :lonely:

As a general rule, I am not overly fussy about PPEs. Stoney failed his-- flexed off in all 4 legs, the vet said she didn't know if he'd be sound to ride in 6 months, and his x-rays look like a crippled horse. That was over 6 years ago and other than an occassional injury here and there-- he's never taken an unsound step and he's doing MORE work and doing it MORE soundly than he was when I bought him.

Shane vetted perfectly clean, with clean films-- and 2 years later was pretty much wiped out by West Nile and Lyme.

It's a gamble.

I would have taken Narew, the last horse I vetted, with several spurs, other arthritic changes, and with pretty significant thinning on one joint hock. Oh yeah, and a slightly clubby foot, the worst thrush I have EVER seen, and an undisclosed parrot mouth-- it was only the ringbone that made me turn him down. So...

I think this is going to work out :) :cloud9: :woot:
