Well, today's ride was completely uneventful. I went out, and decided to wear spurs because my response time would be quicker if he did decide to pull any malarkey. Either he knew I had my game face on, or he watched me put on the spurs, because he hopped a TINY bit and I poked him (they were nubby POW weenie spurs) just a hair and he quickly decided that game wasn't going to work and was a saint the rest of the ride. So, I don't know. I went out prepared for a battle and I honestly feel a little let down *hahahahaha*. I know that I won't trust him for a long time, but I see progress even in this week of work. The biggest issues will be "what to do when I can't ride him every day". I'll either have to entrust him to someone else (which makes me nervous, given his tendency to test new people) or...let him sit, and that doesn't seem to be a good option either. Hrm. |
